Grandma Hollingers Visit

Well, I have had a busy past two weeks. My Grandma Hollinger arrived on Nov.1st and was here for 8 days, it was such a nice visit, we had lots of fun. Grandma got to see me play with my friends and do my everyday stuff.

It was Mommy's turn to host playgroup while Grandma was here and we had a great turnout. It was one of my friends birthday so we celebrated with cupcakes while everyone was at the house for playgroup. Ethan turned 1 years old and he took his first step for all of us to see. His Mommy was very excited!

One night we went to this really cool park near our house that we had heard about but never been to before. It was awesome, so much too do, even for kids my age. I think I like the slide and the swings the most! I laughed so much that my tummy hurt. Daddy had lots of fun taking pictures of me in the leafs.

One afternoon we packed up our car and Kara's car and headed out to Bays Mountain Park, another really neat place. This park is high up on a mountain and it has fenced in animals. We saw some deer, wolves, sea otters, birds, and fish. I really enjoyed looking at the fish and the wolves, they were my favorite! Fisher and I had lots of fun crawling around in the leaves as well, it was such a beautiful day.

Daddy had to work lots while Grandma was here, so we went and hung out at the hospital one night. I have lots of fun there, it is so nice to play with Daddy's stethoscope and name badge.

We took Grandma to one of our favorite stores, Target. Daddy was being funny and tried to carry me around the store in a basket, silly Daddy! Grandma bought me a few new clothes that I love.

We also went to the library one morning, Grandma was so suprised at how much I already like the library. I love pulling the books off the shelves and chewing on them. I also like to walk along the book shelves, of course while holding on!

Daddy even managed to catch a picture of me smiling with my 4 teeth. But as of a few days ago I now have 6 teeth, that's right, I am 9 months old and have 6 teeth.

Well I gotta go, many things to play with!

Miss you all,

Emmie

Happy Halloween 2008!

Wow, halloween is so much fun! I got to celebrate halloween for a whole week and I enjoyed every moment. Last weekend we went to "Fenders Farm" out in the country where we got a chance to go on a hay ride, walk through a corn maze, play in a pumpkin patch and ride in a cow car! This place was so neat and we got lots of really good pictures. We went with the Battel family and all of us had a wonderful time.

Then on Wednesday we went to one of Daddy's colleagues houses to carve pumpkins. Daddy carved a really neat spider web on our pumpkin but it took him a very long time but I didn't mind. This meant I got to play with Elizabeth and Eli and all of their toys.

Thursday was a dry run for Trick or Treating, we went to the hospital where Daddy works and did "Trick r'trunk". The hospital nurses dressup and decorate their cars and give out candy to all the kids in the community, it was really cool. The CEO of the hospital even brought out two of his 24 donkeys and they were all dressed up for Halloween. Daddy had fun showing me off to all of the nurses!

Then there was halloween night, what a spectacle. We went to a party at Jessica and Jason's house where we had lots of food, candy and we saw around 150 to 200 kids. There were kids and babies dressed in tons of great costumes. Ella was an angel, Molly was Snow White, Fisher was a dragon and I was a Ladybug. Everyone kept telling Mommy how cute i looked, I was quite the hit. I wore my friend Cassie's ladybug costume, thanks Cassie!

The day after halloween we had Ella's big birthday party, she turned 3! She had a pink and purple princess party, so Mommy got me all dressed up in my pink tights and leggings with my pink tutu that Ella and Kara bought me. The party was a lots of fun, tons of kids to play with and lots of food. Daddy even let me have a few sucks of a Ring pop and boy was that good. Mommy and Kara made Pinata's from scratch and the big kids really liked them, they were a big hit.

Plus my Gram from Canada arrived that day and was able to come to the party with us. She is here all week for a visit, it is going to be a fun week!

Well, I have to go and take a nap, I am exhausted from all the parties!

Take care and miss you all,

Emmie
