Back home in Tennessee

Well, look at this, only one week from my last post, just as promised! The first and very exciting thing I want to talk about and show everyone is a picture of my new baby sister or brother! I think most of you already know but our family is growing, I am going to be a BIG SISTER and I can't wait. Mommy has a baby in her tummy and below is the picture the doctor took earlier this week. The baby won't be here for a while, not until, April 2010!

As I mentioned at the end of my last post, we made it back to Tennessee safely and are very happy to be home. When we got back to Tennessee we were greeted by our friends and neighbors, the Battel's, the Green's and the Howell's. Since we were gone, the Battel's acquired 2 little baby ducks, well they bought them at the local fair. The ducks names are Max and Ruby and little miss Ella absolutely loves them! As for me, I am not a huge fan, I keep my distance, the silly little things like to chase me!!!

The september long weekend brought us the kick off to College football season, which is a huge thing down here! All of the Daddy's, including mine, got up super early on Saturday morning and drove to Knoxville to watch the first game. There were 107,000 people at the game, a college game, and Tennessee won big time, 63 to 7. Everybody was dressed in orange, including mommy and I!!! We had a big party that evening after the game once everyone was back. It was lots of fun! Check out the cute cheerleading outfit daddy bought for me. All of us girls were dressed in Tennessee cheerleading outfits!

A few nights ago Daddy and I went out shopping and I came home with my very own tea set. I love it! I have tea party's with all my little animal friends. I make a really good pot of tea!!!

Here are some pics of me in my pj's, watching cartoons and having some tea.

Well that is all for now! Hope everyone has a really nice weekend! We brought a porketta back with us from Sudbury and are introducing all of our friends to it this evening!!!

Our month long visit in Toronto

Hi Everyone;

I know it has been forever, I think the longest break yet! We have just been so busy, yes believe it or not, very, very busy!!! We spent the whole month of August in Toronto while Daddy worked at Sick Kids hospital and Mommy did some work with her old job at Novartis. Lucky for me, this meant I got to hang out with Gigi and Papa everyday.

Of course while we were home we tried to visit as many people as possible. The first place we went is Sudbury! We got to see all my cousins and my Great Granny, it was so much fun. But Mommy forgot to take pics with her own camera, she kept taking them with Great Granny's and she doesn't have a computer to download them, oh well!!! We do have one pic of Karsen and I sitting on the couch watching a movie.

Mommy and Daddy also went to a 50 year reunion at their high school, Lockerby! They took Karsen and I one day to play a bunch of games they had setup on the football field and they let us run up and down the school halls! They got to see some of their old friends, Nadine, Thera, Paul, Chris and Ermes, not many people showed up from their years, I guess they haven't been out of school long enough yet, it has only been 12 years!

We also went to visit my Great Grandma Nancy when we were in Sudbury. She was so happy to see us, it had been since I was just a few months old since she saw me last and it had been at least 5 years since she had seen Uncle Ryan. Mommy and Uncle Ryan can't get over how the house hasn't changed much since they were little kids, it still looks the same from when Great Grandpa Vickell was alive, it brought back lots of memories for the two of them!!!

We got to have nice visit with Tata, Uncle Chris, Grandma and Pop-pop one night in Mississauga. They came up to see us and we went out to a park, saw some musicians and had a really yummy dinner at Snug Harbour on the water. Pop-pop was so much fun at the park, he pushed me high on the swing and took me up the big slide!

Uncle Bo Bo (Brodie) and Auntie Kiki (Carrie) came all the way from Ottawa to see us on the one weekend that Daddy had off all month. It was so nice to see them, we did lots of fun stuff. One day we went out for lunch with Kiki's mom and everybody, and mommy let me wear my tutu! The waitresses at the restaurant kept telling me I was so cute, they even found me a matching wand in the toy chest!

We also went to the huge Toronto zoo one day, it was super hot, but tons of fun. We saw so many cool animals, but I think my favorite was the elephants and the lions, and maybe the giraffe.

Mommy took me in the splash park at the zoo to cool me off, but I wasn't a big fan of the spraying water!

It was the zoo's birthday, it is 35 years old, so we all got these really neat antlers to wear on our heads. I kept mine and wear it all the time around the house!

After our busy day at the zoo, we had a big family BBQ at Lynn and Larry's house. Everybody was there, it was so nice to get to see everyone. There were at least 35 people, 9 of which were kids, so it was a blast. They had a kiddie pool setup and tons of toys. Andrew and Rachael actually started a water gun fight and that was hilarious. Erica and Gail didn't want their hair ruined and kept trying to get everyone to stop but eventually they gave in!!!
Here is a picture of the newest baby in the family, Cameron, he is so little.

Here is Daddy with little miss Heidi, she is almost one year old, I am hoping the next time we see her she will be able to walk and we can run all over the place together!

Gigi and I hanging out together, I can always trust Gigi to give me food when I want it!!!

For Uncle Ryan's birthday we all went out to a Toronto Blue Jays' game and it was awesome. I watch them play on the TV with Papa almost every night and it was just so neat to see them in person. But the games are really long, I was done after the 3rd inning but thanks to lots of entertainment from Mommy and Gigi, I made all the way till the end of the 8th!

Everybody cheered so loud for the grand slam by the Blue Jays, I wasn't a fan of all that noise so I decided to plug my ears!

Gigi took me to meet Ace the blue jay's mascot, he blew me a big kiss!

Papa and I both wore our blue jays' hats and t-shirts!

We went out to Wayne Gretzky's restaurant for dinner before the game and on our walk to the game, Mommy let me sit on Papa's tray for his wheelchair, I was like the Queen of the castle!!!

We got Uncle Ryan a small chocolate cake for his birthday and he was nice enough to share it with me, it was so yummy, but then again, I love chocolate!
We made it back to Tennessee safely at the end of August and we are all so happy to be back home! I was really excited to get to see all my friends here and we have been partying all weekend with everyone. Daddy has to work today, Sunday of the long weekend, so Mommy and I are hanging out together.
It is almost nap time so I better go. I promise not to wait so long to do another post!
Love,
Emmie
