Happy 2nd Birthday to me!!!

You read the title right, I am now two years old. I have been celebrating for the past 2 days and it has been so much fun. It began friday morning when I woke up to find Gigi was here to visit me, she arrived late thursday night when I was already in bed. She brought down tons of gifts for me from lots of people back in Canada, thanks to everyone! Then we went to one of mommy and daddy friends house who does professional photography and she took my birthday pictures, you will see below a preview of just one of many great pictures.

Then on my actual birthday, I woke up and mommy opened my blinds to show me that we had a big snow storm over night and I was going to be able to go outside and play in the snow.

I went sledding at the Battel's house and we had a huge fire and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows! I stayed out for over 2 hours and I loved every minute of it.

We got about 5-6 inches of snow, enough that daddy actually had to shovel the driveway. We even had to lend our shovel to a couple of our neighbors!

I had lots of gifts arrive from the UPS delivery man on my birthday as well. He delivered me a gift from Auntie Amy, these really cool Princess board books and princess pyjamas. I got flowers from Great Gramma Hollinger, they were so pretty and had a Mickey Mouse balloon attached. I also got a huge doll house, just for me, it is actually taller than me, I love it!

Gigi made a whole bunch of cupcakes for my party, for all my friends and I. They were so yummy, they had chocolate, vanilla, pink and green sprinkles and these really neat Tinkerbell rings! Thanks Gigi for all your help getting things ready for my party.

Daddy also brought me a huge collection of Tinkerbell balloons, one of the balloons was as big as me, it was so cool! Gigi brought down my Christmas gifts from my cousins up in Sudbury and I got to open them on my birthday, I got some really nice stuff, including the jogging suit I am wearing in the picture below. It is a Vancouver 2010 outfit, I am all set for the Olympics!

Not only did we have cupcakes at my party, we also had this really yummy carrot cake that Fisher's mommy, Kara made just for me, all from scratch, thanks Kara!

Now my party was a paint and pizza party, so of course all of us kids got to paint pictures with real paint and paint brushes. Mommy and Daddy rearranged the rec room in the basement and setup colouring sheets and paint all over the room. All of my friends parents thought mommy and daddy were crazy but I promise they aren't. We are redoing the carpet in that room so it didn't matter if we made a mess! And we did make quite the mess!!!

Look at what the basement looked like by the end of the night, wow, we did a pretty good job, didn't we!!!

After we finished painting we got to have cupcakes and cake, I needed some help from mommy and my friends to blow out my candles but we did it!

Ella decided it would be fun to go back downstairs at the end of the night and paint her whole face, doesn't she look scary!

I was exhausted at the end of the night, all partied out! Daddy and I sat down on the couch together to watch a show before I went to bed.

Mommy and Daddy finally finished redoing my old room for my new baby sister, Paige. I think they did a really good job, it is very pretty, I hope my little sister likes it. Before they even told Great Granny what colours they painted the room she had already shipped down a beautiful blanket that matches perfectly, great job Great Granny!

Now it is the day after my birthday and I am still opening gifts. I got this really neat trampoline from Gigi and Papa, an indoor trampoline. I helped daddy put it together, I am such a good little helper.

Well that is all for now, we are going to have a relaxing Sunday today, I think it might be a pyjama day! Thanks to everyone for the wonderful gifts and all of you who were able to come and celebrate at my party.

Love y'all,

Emmie

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I hope 2010 has been treating you well.

We had a wonderful new year's eve with all of our friends here in Tennessee, lots of food, kids and playtime. Mommy and Daddy even let me stay up till 11pm, then I crashed! I even got a New Year's eve kiss from Fisher...lol!

Kara makes the best cupcakes, I loved them!

Check out my new bath towel that Gigi and Papa bought me, isn't it cute. I put it on after my baths and it is nice and cozy!

Mommy and Daddy got a TV in their room now and I think watching TV in bed is really neat. I even figured out that Ryder makes a good pillow!

We all got dressed up for the Junior's hockey game against the U.S. We went to a local restaurant to watch it because it wasn't on our cable TV. So sad that they didn't win!

A couple of people have sent us pics from the holidays when we were back in Canada that I thought I would post. My cousin Patsy got some cute one's of my ski day up north. She even took a video, it is so cute, check it out at on youtube using the following link;
Thanks Patsy!!!

Also, here is a pic from the night we all went to the movies, it was my very first time to see the Princess and the frog! I wasn't all that interested in sitting for so long to watch a movie but I made it through the first 40 minutes in my seat!!! Here is a pic of Rachael and I sitting at the restaurant reading the menu to see what we want to eat.

When we were home we managed to get in a visit with Tata Kristina and Uncle Chris. We met them for brunch one day, it was nice to get to see them!

Mommy's friend Jenn Chambers passed along some pics from our quick visit with them. Cassie and I played dress up, she got a whole bunch of new dresses!

Well that is all for now! Hope everyone stays warm and cozy in this winter weather.

Christmas in Canada 2009

I can't believe Christmas is all over and we have started a new year. Where do I begin...we made the long trip back to Canada on the 21st, it took us 13.5 hours, which meant I got to watch lots of movies in the car! We were only home in Canada for 8 days and boy were they busy. Which is why you will notice this blog post has lots of pictures.

The festivities began on the 23rd at the annual Marshall's Christmas party with all my cousins. Santa must write this date in his calendar each year because he was there again and he brought all of us a present. I was still a little unsure of this guy with the big white beard, so I didn't get too close!

Here is the newest baby cousin in our family, Cameron, isn't he adorable!

Andrew is the oldest kid cousin and he got this real cool hockey game from Santa that Rebecca, Elsa and I were having fun watching him play!

Heidi and I exchanged Christmas gifts again this year and she got me the coolest tinkerbell dress up outfit, I just love it!

We ended up having a dance party with all the kids, it was so much fun!

On Christmas Eve day we went to visit some of my great grandparents. Grandmere and Great Grandpa Ben in Victoria Harbour during the day and Great Gramma Hollinger at night! We got a few pics and Grandmere's house but forgot the camera when we went to Gramma Hollingers!!!

I took a nap at Grandmere's and boy was I pooped, everybody came into the room to see me and wake me up and I just kept sleeping.

Gigi's and Papa's Christmas tree was packed on Christmas Eve, Santa brought lots of gifts to their house, it was unbelievable. We all must have been really good in 2009! Thanks Santa!!!

On Christmas morning everybody was up before me, my daddy actually ended up waking me because he couldn't wait to start opening presents, he is such a big kid!

I got the cutest baby doll from American girl and she came with a crib and high chair, now I have my own baby to take care of. I haven't figured out a name yet, still working on it!

Check out my cute christmas pyjama's!

Gigi and Papa bought all of us Olympic Canada wear for Christmas, I really liked Uncle ryan's hat and decided it look better on me, than on him!

Gigi had to help me open my presents, there were so many, I was getting tired! Thanks Gigi!

We got Papa a really cool Christmas gift this year, a laptop! Now he can see me on Skype and I will be able to see him too!!! He cried when Mommy showed it to him.

We had some of our cousins over for dinner on Christmas day, Dawn and Patsy! They brought me some gifts, which they really didn't have to but I did really like them. Here is Dawn and I on the couch reading one of my new books! Thanks Dawn and Patsy!!!

Check out my new tutu that Gigi bought for me, I love it, I look just like a ballerina!

Uncle Ryan got me the neatest gift, a tinkerbell tea set. So of course we had a tea party after dinner, it was my very first real tea party and I thought it was so cool!!!

On Boxing day we were suppose to head up to Sudbury but due to freezing rain we were unable to make it. Great Granny had sent a gift down for me, so I jumped up into bed with Papa and we opened it together. She got me some princess dress up shoes and a crown, they are so pretty, it makes me feel like a little Princess!!!

We did manage to get up to Collingwood after some bad weather passed and did some skiing. I think skiing is so much fun, I can't wait to go again. Thanks to Rebecca for lending me her helmet and skiis!

After we finished skiing we went back to the Conliffe's cottage and warmed up by the fire and had a really nice dinner thanks the Chef Roy!

Daddy was crazy he went out in the hottub and it was freezing outside and snow everywhere but he said it was really relaxing!!!

We also got to see so many other people when we were home but didn't manage to get any pictures to post. Kiki and Bobo had us over to Kiki's mom's house in Guelph one night for dinner and Amy and Sarah came over for a visit the night before we left. It was so nice to get to see all of them, I know it meant a lot to Daddy and Mommy to get to see their friends.
We almost didn't get to see my friend Cassie but thankfully on our way out of town on the 30th we got in a quick visit. Cassie and I played dress up and had a dance party, I think mommy and daddy were hoping this would tucker me out for our long drive back home, but it didn't! It took us 14 hours to get home and I only slept for 4 hours in total...but Mommy and Daddy kept telling me I was being such a good girl. Wish we could have stayed in Canada longer and had more time to visit with everyone but Daddy has to work, as I always say "Daddy work, Daddy work"!
Happy New year to all of you! Wishing everyone all the best in 2010.
Love y'all,
Emmie
