Christmas Season 2009 - Party, Party, Party

Hi Everyone, hope you are all bearing the winter cold. We heard that many of you got caught in a winter storm this past week, yuck! Our weather just started to get cold but on Wednesday it was 61 F which is quite nice (16 C), however we got a huge wind storm. Our neighbors above ground pool was destroyed, one of the docs daddy works with had his big trampoline fly up into the air and land on his roof and many of our friends, including us lost some shingles on the roof. The roofing guys around here are loving it, but Mommy got our quote this morning and she wasn't too happy, but oh well!

So we have been busy enjoying the Christmas season. We decided to do our own Christmas pics again this year and they turned out great! Daddy did an awesome job.

A few nights ago we went to see Ella, Fisher, Ava and Sophia in their school christmas pageant. I had so much fun playing with all the little kids and really wanted to be up at the front with them when they were singing. Daddy put me on his shoulders so I could see everyone better, I kept calling out to Fisher and Mommy and Daddy kept telling me to be quiet, wonder why!!!

Here I am reading a Hymn book at the church we were in for the pageant, pretty interesting but there weren't any pictures!

Fisher and I kept going over to the Christmas tree and playing with the ornaments, really we were trying to figure out how we could knock over the tree without getting in trouble!!!

What do you think about my cute dress, I love it!

Last weekend we went on a road trip with the Battel's to Raleigh, North Carolina. Kara's sister lives there and we went to stay at her house. Chris and Daddy got to go to a Carolina Hurricanes NHL game, they were playing Vancouver and they ended up winning despite the fact they are in last place in the league. Daddy was happy as he is not a big fan of the Canucks, even though they are Canadian. Sounds like they had lots of fun at the game! Fisher, Ella and I had a blast running around their house with their dog Weiss.

Kara's sister Kelsey, was so much fun. She let all of us climb onto her coffee table and jump onto her on the couch!

Well that is all for now, Mommy and I have lots to do today and we have another Christmas party to attend tonight, lots of fun!
Take care and keep warm!!!

American Thanksgiving, Christmas Prep & My New Room

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! We have once again been very busy.

This was a long weekend due to the American thanksgiving celebrations. Daddy worked on the actual thanksgiving day but then he had Fri-Sun off, which has been fantastic. This morning when we woke up, Daddy made french toast for breakfast and then we got working on putting up our Christmas tree. I love christmas decorations, they are so much fun to play with. Mommy and Daddy kept telling me I was being a good little helper!!!

Here I am helping daddy put the last part of the tree on. I didn't know you could make trees...

I think my favorite decoration is the christmas beads that Mommy and Daddy hang on the tree, they make a great necklace!

Here is our tree with the lights on, the beads and all of our family decorations. Mommy was getting all nostalgic while hanging the ornaments. Last year we didn't have them here in Tennessee, somehow they got left behind in Canada but we made sure to bring them back this year!

It is officially Christmas in the Hollinger house!

The next exciting thing that happened this weekend has to do with my "big girl" bedroom. All of my new furniture was delivered and Mommy & Daddy worked all day on Saturday to get it all set up. I love all my new stuff and I have to thank Gigi and Papa for buying it for me, they are so generous, I love them very much!

Last night we decided that there was no point in waiting and that I would make the change to my new room. I wasn't too sure about it at first but eventually I went to sleep and slept until 6am then I got a little freaked out and screamed for Mommy & Daddy. Mommy jumped into bed with me and we went back to sleep for another hour.

Check out my bed, I have a Queen bed, that is right, I am going from a crib to a Queen, just perfect for the Princess in me!!! Ryder loves my new bed, everytime we are looking for him that is exactly where we find him, sleeping on my bed!

This is my bookcase, where I have put all my books and my stuffed animals!

Mommy made us a family thanksgiving dinner on Saturday since we didn't have any turkey for Canadian thanksgiving. The dinner was very yummy! I loved the mashed potatoes, mommy whipped them and added cream cheese, yum, yum, yum, delisioso (as Dora would say). The turkey was also really good, Daddy had this idea to stuff it with apples and wow it was fantastic!

I got all dressed up in one of my tutu's and tights the other day, just simply for playing around the house!
Isn't my tutu pretty!

I had my first gymnastics class here in Tennessee just the other day and both mommy and daddy were able to come and help out. I am learning to jump on the trampoline, do the balance beam and get over my fear of heights!

I have recently taken an interest in cleaning and like to help mommy whenever I can. Here I am helping her mop the dining room floor!

Well that is all for now! We have started our Christmas coutdown, only 23 days till we head home to Canada and only 26 days till Christmas, I can't wait!!!

Getting into the Christmas Spirit!

Hi Everyone;
Two blogs in one week, I think that might be a record!

Can you believe Christmas is only 5 weeks away (38 days to be exact), I am so excited. Gigi bought we a couple of Christmas DVD's and I have been watching them over the past week which has been getting me into the Christmas mood. Before Granny and Pop-pop head out of town to Arizona we decided to take them over to the Bristol Speedway of Lights. Some of you might remember the pics we posted last year, it is quite the spectacle.

I really enjoyed it this year, it was a beautiful night and we had lots of fun. To our suprise our friends the Battel's showed up and I got to go on some rides with Ella and Fisher!!!

Here is a grocery cart full of presents from the store where Mommy and I do all of our grocery shopping. Could you imagine how cool it would be to get an entire grocery cart of presents!!!

Once you get through the path of different light scenes outside you get to enter into the Bristol Motor Speedway 1/2 mile track. They let you drive on it for a little while and Daddy was in heaven, he kept going up on the banked sides and it was making mommy nervous, she felt like the car was going to tip over, silly Mommy!

I even got to drive the car for a little while, it was so neat, I already know how to do hand over hand turning!
We bought some marshmallows and got to roast them over the fire, the fire was really hot so I wouldn't get that close, well not until my friends arrived!!!
Here I am eating my first ever candy cane, it was yummy! Santa Claus gave it to me. Mommy and Daddy tried to get me to sit on Santa's knee and have my picture taken but I just wasn't interested. I did give Santa a high five and offered to share my candy cane with him.

Marshmallows are very interesting, I had to check it all out before I put it in my mouth.

Daddy, Ella, Fisher and I, went on a Choo, Choo train ride. At first I was hesitant which is why Daddy came with me, but once it started I loved it!

Then we went over to the ATV ride and Fisher went on all by himself and it looked like he was having so much fun that I decided to join him. This ride went really fast but it was a blast, plus I got to sit with my best friend Fisher!!!

I didn't want to let go of the handle bars but Fisher had no problem doing that, he kept honking the horn!

It was a very fun night! Mommy and Daddy promised to bring me back again before Christmas because they have a skating rink and we are going to try and do some skating.
Hope everyone has a good week!

Enjoying time with my Grandparents!

Hi Everyone! We hear that the weather has been quite nice back in Canada, hope you are all getting a chance to enjoy it. We have been having wonderful weather here as well. Our nights get cool but during the day we hit highs in the mid 70's and I love it.

The first thing I wanted to show on the blog is pictures of my new baby sister. Mommy and Daddy went for their 18 week ultrasound a few days ago and all is well. She is growing just as she is suppose to and is on track to arrive around April 11th, 2010.

Over the past two weeks I have been really busy. First Gigi arrived for Halloween and stayed til Nov. 8th, she babysat me for most of the time while Mommy and Daddy went away to Las Vegas. She took me all over the place, we did lots of shopping and lucky me, Gigi bought me lots of new clothes, toys and movies. She also took my to my favorite gym, I haven't been there in a while and it was so much fun.
Granny and Pop-pop are also here visiting and I have been busy showing them around town. I got to go back to the gym yesterday and play with both of them. Thanks to Granny and Pop-pop for taking pictures over the past week, otherwise we wouldn't haven much to post!

My favorite thing at the gym is this giant foam pit. I even managed to convince Pop-pop to jump into the foam pit with me, it took some convincing but eventually he caved!!! Here Pop-pop is in the foam pit with me, doesn't he look like he is having lots of fun!

I was a little afraid to jump in all on my own, so Mommy decided to throw me and boy was it fun!!!

I also convinced Mommy to take a big jump into the pit, quite impressive if you ask me!

Granny spent the most time in the pit with me, she didn't mind one bit, she loves playing games with me!

Look at how talented I am, playing ball while jumping on the trampoline!

We had a few gray days this week so Pop-Pop and Granny decided to help Mommy and Daddy out with my new room. First they had to take down the wallpaper and look what was behind it, a very dark burgundy colour, yuck!!!

Once all the wallpaper came down, the room needed two coats of primer!

Then two coats of my new colour, it is called "soothing aloe", essentially a light green. This picture doesn't really pick it up quite right but once the room is all done we will send some pics. Thanks to Granny and Pop-pop for helping out, we really appreciate it!

One night after dinner I got Granny, Pop-pop and Daddy to sit down at my little table and have a nice little tea party!

Here I am watching my favorite new show "Tinkerbell"!

Even in the cooler weather I still love to play outside, as long as I dress nice and warm it doesn't bother me one bit!

I just recently figured out how to go down my slide on my belly, it is lots of fun, but not as much fun if I go head first, that was a lesson I learned!

Granny and Pop-pop are staying at a nearby RV park and a couple of times now my friends and I have gone over to play. Fisher thinks their RV is so neat and loves their motorcylces, such a boy!!!

I thought I would include a few pics of Mommy and Daddy's trip to Las Vegas, they were gone for 5 whole days and I missed them while they were gone but I was glad to hear they had lots of fun! I also really enjoyed my time with my grandparents, they are all so much fun!!!
Thanks to Gigi and Papa for making their trip to Vegas happen!
.

Daddy captured a pic while they were away that shows Mommy's new little tummy!

Check out Uncle Bo-Bo and Kiki, looks like they also loved Vegas!

Check out the view from their room, I would love to go swimming in those pools!

Well that is all for now! I am getting ready to watch the Leafs vs. Flames game with Daddy and Pop-pop. They each want me to cheer for their team, I just don't know who I should cheer for. If I look at their records this year, clearly the Flames are the better team but Toronto does have the ability to suprise us every once in a while!!!
Love y'all
