Guess what? I can walk!

That is right, you read it correctly, I am now able to walk. I took my first step today and many more after that. My longest run was 7 or 8 steps in a row and that was at my friends house, Ella and Fisher. It is so exciting, everybody can't believe it. I am just shy of being 10 1/2 months old and just think of the trouble I can get into, now that I can walk.
Mommy and Daddy were both so happy and they kept making me do it over and over again, until I was really tired! They did manage to get a few really good pics and a short video, check it out below.

We also thought we would include a couple more of our Christmas pics that we took last week. Hope you enjoy!

Have a great weekend and we will see you all very soon.

Love,

Emmie

Snow and Christmas lights - Winter is here!

Hi Everyone, long time no chat! I just realized that we forgot to post some great pictures we took just before the Thanksgiving weekend. These pics deserve to be on the blog.

One evening we went to the Bristol Speedway Racetrack with the "Battel Family". Every year at Christmas the race track sets up a Christmas light extravaganza, including marshmallow roasting, kids rides and Santa was there as well. It was such a fun evening, we all had a blast. Although, I wasn't a big fan of Santa, I don't like his beard or his hat, it made me cry.

I can't even begin to explain how neat this place was, I guess you will just have to come and see for yourself!

Now when we moved here everyone kept telling us how much warmer it was going to be in winter and how we would be lucky if we saw any snow. Well, they were wrong! It has been quite cold the past week and we got snow, twice. The snow actually stayed on the ground one day so Mommy thought it would be fun for us to go outside and play in it. I am still not too sure if I like snow or not, it feels cold and wet!

It is really starting to look like Christmas in our house, Mommy has been putting up decorations and lights all week. Unfortunately, we discoverd something that made Mommy very sad, all of our Christmas ornaments were left back in Canada in the storage locker. Mommy keeps telling me that we have the nicest, sentimental ornaments but I told her I will see them next year, not to worry. So the other day the two of us went out and bought a whole trees worth of new ornaments and the tree looks great.

Last night we took some family pics and here is a sneak peak, you will see more later once Daddy has a chance to do touchups and cropping!

Well that is all for now. I am sleepy, time for my morning nap! Oh, one more thing, can you believe I am 10 months old already, how time flies when your having fun.

Have a great weekend,

Emmie

My 1st American Thanksgiving - Hooray!

Well, I know it has been awhile since we updated the blog we have just been really busy. I am on the go all the time, it is so much fun. I have recently figured out how much fun it is to play in the kitchen drawers that my daddy still hasn't baby proofed!

Daddy has been really happy lately because he just realized we get "Hockey Night in Canada" every Saturday, which means he gets to see his Calgary Flames play. One day he got us both all dressed up to watch the game.

American Thanksgiving was this past weekend and we had a great time. Mommy's best friend Amy and her boyfriend Johnathon came down to celebrate with us. They brought us some Canadian items, chocolates and a really cute Mountie Moose. While they were here we did some shopping on Black Friday and also showed them some tourist spots in East Tennessee.

We also had a wonderful American Thanksgiving dinner with our neighbors the "Battel Family". Our Thanksgiving dinner was very yummy, we had tons of food, including what everyone keeps saying was the best turkey they have ever had. Our neighbor Chris deep fried us a turkey and it was wonderful. I mean I have never had turkey before but I really liked it! I even fed some to Dexter and he loved it.

It was so nice to have a visit with Amy and Jonathon and I think they had a great time as well. I am sure it was a bit of a culture shock, especially for the Irish man Jonny! He made a joke one day that when looking around he pictures "dualing banjos" and go figure on Saturday in Pigeon Forge at the mall their were two guys playing the banjo. Jonathon was lots of fun, I liked listening to his voice and having him entertain me. We sat one night at dinner and shared our my snacks, I think he really liked them.
