Life back in Canada!

Well, it has been quite some time since I last blogged. Life has just been so chaotic and busy the past 7 weeks. You did read the title right, Mommy and I are now living in Canada! Poor Daddy and the dogs are by themselves in Tennessee, we really miss them.
I have been super busy since we got back to Canada. When we first moved back Daddy stayed for a little while and he got to pretend he was Mommy for a few days! He took me to "Mom's morning out" with my cousins at Dr.Davis's office.

I even got to spend some time with my Tata Kristina. She came to town and we went to a really fun indoor playground with Daddy, it was lots of fun!

We finally found a night to get together with all my little cousins, it was so much fun, we all got along really well. I can't wait till Elsa, Rebecca and Heidi can walk like Erik and I, oh boy, the fun we will have!

Speaking of cousins, I have so many... I also got to make the trip up North to Sudbury to visit my Papa's family! We really miss them, we don't get to see them as much as we would like. I got to play at Aunt Shirley's with all my cousins, Karsen, Raeleigh and Konner. Mommy said it was really weird to see all of us together playing in the same house she did with Derek, Todd and Ryan when they were little kids!

One day Mommy and Daddy had this brilliant idea to take me out to a Pond Hockey Tournament that Karsen's mommy was playing in. I am not a big fan of cold weather, snow or ice....But I have to say it was pretty neat. Karsen loved it, you can tell he is a Northern boy!

Last weekend Gigi, Uncle Ryan and Mommy took me to my very first St. Patrick's day parade. Wow, it was wonderful. Tons of really nice music, Irish dancing and marching bands. I danced, clapped my hands, waved my flag and got tons of people's attention, my favorite!

One thing I love to do, that Gigi lets me do all the time, is go shopping! My Gigi really knows how to shop, she even lets me carry some of her bags...now that I am a big girl.

Oh, one last thing, here are some pics from my photo shoot on my 1st birthday. They are fantastic, Mommy and Daddy love them and I think I have to agree, I do look pretty darn cute!

See this one, I got to eat and stick my fingers in my very own cake. I have to give a super big thanks to Ella and Fisher's Mommy, Kara, she made this cake just for me!

Well, that is all for now, hope everyone is doing well and I promise it won't be so long till you hear from me next. We are heading out to Panama on Saturday for a family vacation, we can't wait and we promise to post some pics when we get back.

Love you all,
Emmie

Can you believe I am One!

Hi Everyone;

Well, I am now a one year old little girl, wow how time flies. It has been a busy past few days doing lots of fun stuff. My birthday, Friday January 30th 2009 started off with a yummy breakfast with Gigi, Uncle Ryan and Mommy. Shortly after breakfast the fun began, I got to open my first gift from Cousins Heidi, Erica and Jay, they shipped it all the way from Canada, thanks very much!

After my morning nap I got all dressed up in my pretty party dress and we headed out to the portrait studio to get my picture taken. It was so much fun, wait till you see the pictures they are awesome, but they won't be ready for another 2 weeks, so you'll have to wait! I can give you a mental picture, think of me in my Tutu and diaper with nothing else and a big cake all for myself.

I was so tired after the pictures I took a really long nap. When I woke up I was suprised with another gift that arrived all the way from Canada, from Auntie Amy and Jonathon, I am such a lucky girl. Then to my suprise Uncle Brodie and Auntie Carrie arrived on a plane from freezing cold Ottawa, Canada, it was so nice to see them and have them here for my birthday. We went straight to the restaurant from the airport and had a birthday dinner courtesy of Gigi, she treated us all to a really nice dinner!

The next day was my big birthday party with all of our friends here in Tennessee and when I say all, I mean all! There were 14 kids and 26 adults at the party, it was a blast, I had so much fun...thanks to every one that came, it means a lot to me and to Mommy and Daddy. Not only was it my birthday it was also Eli's, he turned 5, so we decided to share our party!

I really need to thank Kara for making me a really nice cake and cupcakes for all my friends, as you will see from the pictures below I really liked my cake. Plus I am very grateful to Gigi and Mommy who cooked all day!

I got some really nice gifts at my party, including my very own table and chairs from Gigi and Papa, it only took me 5 minutes to figure out how to climb up on the chairs and on top of the table, Mommy better watch out!

Below are some pics of many of my new toys from all of my friends and family, thanks again for everything, I love each and every one of them!

Unfortunately, Uncle Brodie and Auntie Carrie had to leave today and fly back to Canada. It was great to have them here, I can't wait to see them again!

Well that is all for now, I am exhausted and have to head to bed.

Love y'all,
Emmie
